Ken always enjoys fitness and the outdoors. He combines mountain biking, swimming, and running with an intensive workout and nutrition regime to achieve his own fitness goals. His path to the Ironman™ started in high school as a track team member. Since then he has become certified in the following areas:


  • COTA - Certified Occupational Therapists
  • NPTI - National Personal Training Institute
  • USAT - Level 1 Triathlon Coach
  • USA Cycling - Level 3 Cycling Coach
  • CPR/AED Certified 


The certifications and passion has given him the knowledge and discipline to compete in the Louisville, KY. Arizona, and Boulder, CO. Ironman™ Triathlons. This led Ken to start Top Shelf Fitness and he made it his mission to help others achieve their goals.
