Ken has always enjoyed fitness and the outdoors. He combines mountain biking, swimming, and running with an intense workout and nutritional regimen to achieve his own fitness goals. His path to the Ironman™ started in high school as a track team member. Since then he has become certified in the following areas:


  • NPTI - National Personal Training Institute
  • USAT - Level 1 Triathlon Coach
  • USA Cycling - Level 3 Cycling Coach
  • CPR/AED Certified 
  • ​COTA - Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant


The certifications and his passion have given him the knowledge and discipline to compete in the Louisville, KY, Tempe, AZ, and Boulder, CO Ironman™ Triathlons. This led Ken to start Top Shelf Fitness and he has made it his mission to help others achieve their goals.
